Biography
Alireza Arghavani was a protester who was killed by direct gunfire from security forces in Tehran on January 9, 2023. Following his death, his family faced intense pressure from the IRGC and security agencies to accept the state narrative and participate in forced interviews. His 40th-day memorial service was also forcibly held earlier than scheduled due to government interference.
